Architect graduated from the Sevilla Technical School of Architecture (ETSA), he was head of the Service for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property in the Province of Malaga until 1990, when he has assumed the position of Director of Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico, a position he still holds today. Professor of History of Contemporary Architecture, between 1996-2008 at ETSA. Member of the National Council of the DOCOMOMO IBÉRICO, of the writing team of the Krakow Charter and of the Patronages of the Alhambra and the Real Alcázar from Sevilla.
